Building a useful home server
These are the slides from a series of three talks that I delivered to Wolverhampton LUG examining the use of Linux to build a home server.
One of the first questions would probably be ”Why have a home server?”
If you have two or more computers, you are probably sharing the internet connection already, the next logical step is to install a server that can collect & store your emails, provide file storage, printing and other applications such as a photo gallery.
The first talk will examine the basic setup of the server and configuring the email.
